Hi all,
Hope everyone is well!
I'm a newish member and for those interested thought I would share a few things about myself. By day i work as a Lean Sigma analyst in financial services. That's enough about that!
My main interests are music of course, of which my hi Fi helps me get closer to. I have a broad spectrum of taste, but keep going back to my 80s collection of electronic pop stuff, been having great fun with recent revival of bands seeing human league, heaven 17, china crisis, fiction factory, ABC Grace jones, OMD, Howard Jones live of late.. And loving the new blancmange album. Looking forward to seeing Thomas Dolby later this year. Im also big fan of a Johnny Cash, Edwyn Collins, Proclaimers, kraftwerk, so what's that all about!
Also big beer fan, particularly the Belgium and German kind. Visitor of many festivals in those parts to become the expert that I profess now to be! Also managed to wangle a place on judging at Scottish Beer Championships, though don't ask me who won!
My hi fi is a set up with a Macbook Pro playing CD AIFF files via tunes. I use a M2Tech Hiface modified USB converter through my Bryston BDA1 DAC and it sounds as good as the best CD player I have owned (Wadis 861).
Currently I am trying out Sugden Masterclass & Quad amps to get the sound balance I am after - combined with my Martin Logan Source speakers. I doubt if I will ever go back to box speakers after the speed and transparency of electrostatics. Cables are Supra Sword which are the best affordable speaker cables I have heard.
