The beginning ...

Here is a picture of the amp that my girlfriend's dad just finished building for me. I have to figure out how I am going to get it home to England from Sofia on the plane. It weighs an absolute ton!

but when I do I will hook it up to my 1210 and Kef Q30s and post some more pics

I hope it will sound as good as it looks ...

there is no weight limit on easy jet on some destinations for hand luggage as long as the bag fits in the rack

Well I arrived back last night
The amp nearly broke the wheels on my hand luggage wheelie bag. Fortunately BA don't generally weigh you hand luggage.

(after picking up the cat)
I couldn't wait to start lashing things up but I have hit a bit of a hitch ...
The connectors on the back were made for 8 ohm or 4 ohm speakers and my Kef Q35 units are 6 ohm :doh:

I temporarily connected it to the pre-amp output of my existing Yamaha AV amp and spent an hour or two messing with levels but her in doors said it was too loud for the neighbours and I should leave it. :(

so I will try and book some time tonight to play a little more
Might try and get the 1210 hooked up ...

I will post more pics I promise ...
