Here's something I came across today which is designed to acquaint the musically adventurous with new tunes of an alternative / independent nature...

I love the 'more obscure' button.

Apparently it's built from music shared on alternative music blogs. Who knows what you might find. I thought the standard and interest of the music featured was great.

Definitely good for whiling a few hours away checking out new stuff.

Any other 'musical discovery' things out there? Besides the obvious, Spotify, Grooveshark, YouTube etc?

I posted (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=12639) about bandcamp (http://bandcamp.com/) a week or two ago - basically unsigned artists (many who choose not to be) can sell their music - some good stuff.
