Thanks for the welcome.
I like allsorts of music, it depends on my mood........
Mainly electronic music....Chase and Status, Orbital, Leftfield, James Blake, Massive attack, Faithless, Lamb....plus loads more.
But also other stuff.......Radiohead, Muse, Pink Floyd, PJ Harvey, Cocteau Twins, Ministry, Beck, Damian Marley.
The problem I find with non-electronic music, is that it doesn't sound that it doesn't sound as good as the electronic music........eg.....any U2 or Oasis albums just sound utter rubbish (they seem to be the main culprits), I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that.
I'm loving both Chase and Status albums and the James Blake album at the moment.
I've just watched both live twice in the last few weeks, both were absolutely superb.....managed to get right in front of the speakers for both gigs, James Blake doing 'limit to your love' is mindblowing live.....I've never experienced bass like that before, not just bassy, it shook the whole of my body.

Hi Richard, welcome to AoS from another mainly electronica fan :) I like just about anything at all (but not metal), but i mainly listen to ambient..
Anything from Abba to Alien Sex Fiend could also be on the menu though, how's that for diversity
All the best fella, i hope you enjoy your stay with us!

If you can suggest any other other electronic music (especially stuff that sounds good) Im all ears :-)
Doesn't matter if its high tempo or ambient.

Look for what i have posted in this thread (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?p=243653#post243653) :eyebrows:
If you type in my user name in "search" when you are on that thread it's just possible it'll find all of mine (i haven't tried it so i'm not 100% on that, but i have a feeling i'm correct). I'm sure you'd enjoy a good percentage :)

Hi Richard, welcome from me, too - another electronica fan. If you haven't already heard of them - 3 of my favourites: Hybrid, Trentemoller & Marconi Union. Enjoy AoS. :)

Never heard of marconi union ?
I'll check out sometime soon.
I quite like this site so far......some AH/hi-fi sites can be a bit cliquey ......even the ones ive been a senior member of for years

Marconi Union are more ambient - if you've got Spotify, their last 2 albums are on there http://open.spotify.com/artist/3nZ3ed6p4CKc1McTLypr6H - a couple of the older ones on Grooveshark - http://grooveshark.com/#/album/Distance/3640700 & http://grooveshark.com/#/album/Tokyo/3395599. "Chilltronica" is really my thing, which is what this is, I guess. :)

I'm sure you two would love James Blake, if you haven't heard him already.......This is the festival where we were in front of the speakers :)
I only realized at this gig.......he's on R+S records.......an old cool Belgian techno label.
