Hi guys,
Recently I listened to Mahlers Third Symphony, an SACD live recording: the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra boosted by its chief conductor Mariss Jansons.
Woooow, marvellous, both performance and recording (hence my message here).

Click the image for the Concertgebouworkest RCO Live Shop (http://www.concertgebouworkest.nl/page.ocl?pageID=20).
So I have started collecting a new series: the RCO LIVE recordings.
Thusfar I have bought
Mahler, Symphony no. 1
Mahler, Symphony no. 3
Mahler, Symphony no. 4 (conducted by Bernard Haitink, this one)
Stravinsky, L'oiseau de feu / Le sacre du printemps
Musorgsky, Pictures at an exhibition.
I own several other recordings of all these works, but this RCO LIVE series is certainly a welcome addition.
My Maggies do enjoy these recordings audibly ;)
Regards,
Thur.
