It's terrible news - I sincerely hope that he recovers.
Memories of Marc Vivien Foe indeed. No-one will wear 23 for Manchester City ever again.
I hope that Fabrice does not create a similar legacy....

Been a while since I last posted anything in this thread, and I'm really pleased that Fabrice Muamba has not only pulled through , but is well enough to have been discharged from hospital.
Excellent result :D
Today's football has been good from my perspective - thank you Everton for taking 2 points off Manyoo.
Our result at Wolves was good from our POV, not so good from a Wolves POV - the only consolation I can offer to Wolves is that if they play next season like they did today then they will be in at the top of the Championship looking for promotion.
So it's game on come 30th April - squeeky bum time for all them Manyoo supporters, eh?
After all, the title's theirs to lose :eyebrows:

Nice to see City pushing United - Norwich helped you of course, by letting you have +10 to your goal difference off us this season!!! :lol:
We still need one point to be mathematically safe - or else Bolton need to lose their next match - in any case, it would be a very cruel twist of fate if we didn't survive now... I'm actually hoping all 3 of the promoted sides stay up this season to turn the rule book on its head - QPR certainly helped themselves yesterday at Spurs - but what's happened to them just lately...? :scratch:

You were lucky to get off so lightly - the Tevez booking was farcical to say the least, a penalty should have been given. The fact that it was also a deliberate stamp should also have drawn a red card. Not that I'm bitter ;)
We should have also have had at least a free kick for Aguero being dragged around (shirt pulled and held) and thrown to the ground, an incident that was also conveniently overlooked.
Then there was the slight inconvenience of Hart having his shirt held on one of your corner kicks......
You were let off lightly - it should have been TEN :lol:
The refereeing in that game was appallingly bad...

The Tottenham thing has more than an element of "Redknapp for England manager" about it.
It's a shame too - they looked to be set for a top 4 finish.
I genuinely felt sorry for the Wolves supporters today - their club directorship made a seriously bad decision when they decided to sack Mick McCarthy.
I can't help but feel that they would have fared better under Mick's stewardship.
The bottom of the table looks tight - any one of the other bottom 5 clubs could be sucked down if they're not careful.
The end of the season has both ends of the league table with everything to battle for.
It has always been so.
I'm looking forward to us hosting The Rags Manyoo on the 30th - should be an interesting game.

What a crazy game - 90 minutes in and we'd lost.
Five minutes extra time get added, we equalise, and then with almost the final kick of the game we get the winner.
I can't begin to describe how I feel at the moment - I'll just say that I'm very happy with the result :D

Although we'd wrapped up the title a few weeks ago, it was still a great buzz today, finally seeing the Bhoys lift the trophy, especially after cuffing those coonts, Hearts (huns in maroon) 5-0, in the process!! :eyebrows: :D
Onto the Champions League qualifiers now - we'll see what that brings! :eek:

My team, Southampton, have been heavily linked with him but I'm not so sure we need him. He's a goal poacher, and I think we've got one of those in Billy Sharp. Yes, he's scored a lot of goals but my opinion on the SPL is that other than Celtic and Rangers, it's on a par with top of league one/middle of the Championship. I really think he needs to move to the EPL now.

I don't disagree, however, there aren't many clubs in the UK where you're virtually guaranteed to play in the Champion's League every season, and play in front of 60,000 fans at every home game (and Celtic fans are very special)..... ;)
In that sense, anything other than a move to one of the tops clubs in the EPL, would be a downgrade.

But that's where I disagree. It's like a token entry into the CL. You play qualifiers don't you? I might be wrong on that but if I remember correctly I don't recall seeing them in the group stages.
Yes, playing to 60,000 home fans is special, but away games are like league one attendance. I'd be very surprised if a top 4 EPL club moved for him. Liverpool might! Muhahahhuhahaa! Shocking this season, but that's another story.

We last played in Europe in 2003/4 I think, but then Shamrock Rovers played in this seasons CL so... ;)

I'm quite excited at the prospect of Solskjaer too, I know he's unproven, but at least he'll hopefully make us play watchable football, and maybe even try to win some games!

I think Didier Drogba not getting sent off this time around was key :eyebrows:
When Drogba slapped Vidic in Moscow, that was the point when Chelsea lost the last CL final they played a part in.
Mentally that's when Chelsea caved in.
