View Full Version : Hi All
Hi from another newbie! My forum name is the phonetic of my initials, M.G.-not really exciting is it?
I'm into motorbikes (had the gamut of Japanese bikes over the years, had a Harley the last 8yrs), classic cars (currently got a 1977 Opel Kadett GT/E 2.4 litre), hi-fi , music (obviously), movies and travelling-sounds like I'm on a dating website; sorry!
My kit is going through a bit of transition at the minute, exposure 2010S cd/int amp and power amp and ATC SCM19's made way for Audiolab 8200 CDQ, ATC P1 power amp and MA PL200's (which rock!) Hope to enjoy here!
cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,
Nice to see you here & thanks for following the protocol for joining - you're a rarity!!!
What's your musical cuppa tea then, matey?
Welcome, Mark! How do you find the ATC power amp? Can't say I've ever seen one in the flesh.
Welcome to AoS Mark.
My best buddy used to have an A-Series Manta, and a Rekord, and his Dad still has a Monza - Opels always seemed very cool compared to their Vauxhall brethren. Looks like your GT/E is one of only 2 '77's left in the UK. http://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/opel_kadett_gt%2Fe :( I always fanced an Opel GT - a Corvette for Europe - but left-hand drive only, and rare!
Done the bike thing - still got a ZX6-R but never ridden these days.
Oh, hang on - this is a hifi forum! ;) What type of music do you like to listen to on that nice system of yours? (Some photos in the Gallery sometime would be great, if you can manage it.)
Enjoy the forum. :)
Welcome to AoS Mark,
Sadly I can't say I'm a biker, or ever have been, though one time I did hanker after a Royal Enfield (Oilfield?) 500. But then, I was "very, very young".
So, what sort of music do you enjoy listening to through your system?
Sorry to be a bore, but it is the music that matters. :)
Welcome again to the Forum.
Regards
Hi guys, thanks for the warm welcome. My music taste varies slightly but the main core is Rock! 70's with Ac/Dc, Sabbath through to Led Zepp. 80's; Van Halen, Judas priest, Rose Tattoo etc, like some of the 80's pop type bands; B52's for eg. 90's with foo fighters, pearl jam etc, 2000's with king s of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Reverand and the Makers etc. I'm also a big blues fan; everything from Robert Johnson to Muddy Waters, BB King, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Walter Trout, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Otis Taylor, Michael Messer, Kelly Joe Phelps. Oh, and of course The Quo!!:guitar:
I'll post some pics up in the other section.
cheers
Mark
