Yeah, Dimitri, you have been away so long I've had time to have a whole real life baby ;)

Nice camera , i have just bought a 50mm 1.8d for my aging Nikon D50, looking to upgrade the camera soon when funds allow but nothing as good as a D3, perhaps just a D80/90 for now but the D5100 looks good value

D50 is a great camera! the d5100 is a good step forward though ... although to be fair, you will likely only notice a difference in low light and if/when you come to crop ...
Fuji s5 pro, or a d200 might be worth a thought too?

as do i!!:/
Here's a tip - don't let Connie watch what you've recorded on your HD camcorder on the LCD screen without making sure she's fully supervised... I learnt that the hard way this evening!

Bless! He's got arms like Popeye! ;)
Gorgeous pictures Hamish, and a real sweety of a little girl too. Our little Em's just coming up for her first birthday (her big sister's nearly 7) which is hard to believe - getting some really good photos of them when they're so small will always bring back wonderful memories later on. :)
I'll dig some out that I've taken of our Emma on post them up if you don't mind me doing so on this thread? Not that I'm a proud dad or owt of course ;)

Yeah.. Why not make it a general baby photo thread! That sound like a good idea! :)
I'll get some more up soon too :)
I know she's not a baby really (3 next month) but this is what you get when you have "help" putting together a new barbecue... (still in her jimjams, hair like a bird's nest, and lost two of the bolts, but who couldn't forgive? :))

OK then seeing as we are on baby pictures. How's this?

Great photos Richard.
The one with the newspaper looks like the subject of a caption competition to me!

"I warned that bloody Cameron that this would happen"
"look, the FTSE's stuck to my tootsie!"
"Right, David, I'll tell you what to do with those rioters...."
Marco.
"Daddy, look, why is kitty pissing on top of your turntable.....?"
Marco.
"Next time ask me first before you replace our old rug with these bloody rough newspapers!!"
