I'm thinking of buying this amp. YAQIN MC-100B KT88 Tube Vacuum Integrated Amplifier SV to go with my Sugden CD21SE and a pair of Celestion Ditton 66's . And would like to know what they are like. Also as it will be coming from Hong Kong I would like to know if I would have to pay any import duty, if so roughly how much. The amp will cost about £470 including postage.
Regards
Pete

If you can spend a bit more, get one of these. They sound great, are well built, use good components, the pcb's are of very good quality and it will work happily on UK mains.

Yes, sorry, they used to sell on ebay as Mr Liang. Go for the LS 845-5. This is an 845 SE amp driven by 300b's. It really is a very good amp indeed. If you want to buy a Chinese amp and are looking for a bargain, this is the amp to get IMHO. It is a little more difficult since they don't do ebay anymore, but an acquaintance had one delivered from them recently for £750 all in, which is a bloody bargain for a single ended 845 amp. I had the 845-3 version, which walked all over the Unison 845, retailing at about 4k.
