For sale -Audio Synthesis Passion moving coil phono stage, as I am completely dispensing with my vinyl setup. My Michell T/T has gone. The Passion Phono stage does not come up for sale 2nd hand very often. Owners tend to hang on to them unless they have serious cash to spend to get any worthwhile improvement. The phono stage was bought 2nd hand 2 years ago and proved to have the usual wonderful Audio Synthesis sound quality and build. The formwer owner said it was the first Solid State Phono stage that he had been happy with, otherwise preferring valves. I too previously owned an EAR 834P and have been very happy with this AS unit. This is the moving coil version and I believe the higher gain option rather than the lower.
The Phono stage iitself is in very good condition, having just a few small marks on the front and one or two on the sides, which although can be seen on the close up flash pictures, I would say are not noticeable under normal conditions.
The external Power Supply unit is not in as good a condition. It is in fully working order, but has a crack on the plastic housing and 2 of the screws do not secure down (ie. they simply turn but do not actually tighten up. Nothing that a bit of glue can't cure though, and as the power supply normally is out of sight, I don't think it's a real problem and I certainly didn't think so when I bought it.
Retail price on these is now £1295. Available for collection at £495, or £530 delivered via courier (and insured) in the original Audio Synthesis box and packaging.
