Looking for 1960's Psychedelic Hammond / Funk

Hello chaps..

Does anyone know of any 1960's hammond/early funk bands. The stuff I'm after is a mix of Deep Purple, Floyd, Brian Auger & The Trinity, Winwood type stuff.

Anyone shed any light on this kinda groove?

Funk is what I likes best; very Tigerish in this respect ;) Its one of the few music genres me and my mates can still get away with playing without looking and sounding as if we should have retired a decade or two ago :ner:
