A new apple store has just opened in reading and i was doing some agency work for a company that shopfits these stores.

It is a £4,000,000 store and about a week before it opened apple sent there american staff to inspect it,they had extremely high standards and left a snagging list about as long as the great wall of china.

the problem is that ..when a western company gets there products made in china ...the production company will either do a longer run and sell the exta product themselves or sell on the product details to other parties ...

I was told this by a chinese fellow on fleabay when I asked about a product [rca plug] ..oh yes genuine comes from same factory same production line ..just don't ink on the logo ...

so as far as I see it it no suprise whatsever that if you have a high value product ..it doesn't take much more effort to set up your own scam retail arm to sell the product on

So was the product all genuine? Even if not given the go ahead to be sold, it was still genuine?

Regarding product lines - that's the same with clothes and designer goods. Crazy in a sense when it is then seized for being 'fake' - it's not fake, just unauthorised.

If you can step back and take a wider look on things, it's absurd and quite absract - it's only about who gets the money yet people are imprisoned, people killed over it, good usuable items destroyed over it... Crazy.

Step out of the loop and buy secondhand I say..

AFAIK, the product was all genuine Apple. Indeed, the stores may actually be authorised sellers http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/07/21/fake_apple_stores/
