While it's true that blogs like mine are (a) probably ego-driven and (b) very far from commercially sensible, I find it a lot of fun. Averages around 9k page impressions per month. Anyway, here's my labour of love, and without adverts too! http://not-boring-honestly.blogspot.com/
As you'll see, my passion is for music, followed by the equipment and not vice-versa. And so you'll see numerous pieces on Blues, Jazz, Classical, alternative and so on.
The LFD knowledge archive can be viewed at http://not-boring-honestly.blogspot.com/search/label/Gear%3A%20LFD
Thank you - and my best wishes to all AoS members
Howard

Medium yellow-green type (switching to bright, nearly pure yellow on mouse-over) on a light green background – as you use it on the right sidebar of your blog – is barely readable. Please consider changing the color scheme.

Absolutely my pleasure. My promise is to do whatever I can to evangelise AoS to the 'ignorant' - yet happy to learn masses. Kind regards. Howard

Maybe a bit harsh. Remember for some people you have no credibility because you have "trade" after your name. If you are trade then you have no right to personal opinion as all you say is angled to create sales  For many examples this is true, but there is a new breed of people making money (even as a sideline) from this hobby who are enthusiasts as their prime motivation, and more and more will do so.
So as time goes on more people hopefully will understand this and not tar everyone with the same brush. The industry is in the middle of a revolution so the first people above the parapet will always be shot at, as vested interest populate the forums with stalling and dissing tactics. You should realise it is minimal here because Marco and the mods are such sticklers for knowing who you are. BUT just look at PFM, WW, and especially the like of AVForums and Head Fi to see the spoiling tactics at work. Just growing pains mate - stick with it.

Some people here hate anything for or about 'the trade' and most certainly BY 'the trade' - however non-profit that may be. My blog came under attack by a vocal minority who's resentment became very public and so I thought, fuck-it.
I had hoped to offer insights into 'our side of the counter' that normally would be denied to 'civilians'. Not wanted here is the message that comes over from some.
I'll focus more now on making money rather than forum-related 'charity' activities. Postings back to AoS don't make money. Previously I wasn't at all bothered by that. However now I am. Simple as that really.
Sincerely
Howard

Indeed, but you do get a quarter page ad out of your sig everytime you post so it's not all bad Howard!
We aim to please (as far as is possible) :)
