just discovered this forum and the vast knowledge here yesterday night.... it was late and i forgot to post a few details. so, here they are: i´m a vintage watch restorer for collectors and we help watchcollectors from all over the planet. my music urge was planted by my parents, i guess. every possible spectrum at home . jazz in the 50´s. i played in a band in the mid 60´s and still have 700 vinyls and plenty of cd´s. the best possible sound of vinyl´s were always my goal. i shifted every vinyl, i bought, straight into a special antistatic sleeve and still do that. bought a few from nagaoka. my sound system is still orientated in the 70´s/80´s. speakers are modified yamaha NS 1000 monitors. turntable: micro DD40 with MA 505 and a Shelter system. ( used to have thorens with all van den hul gear ) . head amp is a battery operated fidelix. everyday power amp is a quad 909. and for real listening there is a 2. poweramp: a tube audio research D 70; very powerfull and a perfect combo with the speakers ! cd player is a modified teac transport T 1 and the DAC is a accuphase DC 81L. pre amp is an accuphase c 260. cassette player is an akai GX 95 mk 2. tuner is sony. and a bunch of special cables. and for late listening there is a jecklin float as well. so, that´s me . and i have a few problems with my teac in the moment..... kind regards. achim
