Any idea where I can get some?

Only found these, and it annoys me when companies add so much for delivery, to the point I'd rather not give them the business :¬)

£4, really?

Got some bad news for you - those won't fit the Belkin speaker cable :(

All you need is the screw on tip to the connector and I found a seller on ebay who sells expensive Nakamichi ones, but it gives you an idea of what you are looking out for

I found the spade connectors from my Sterling Black Mamba speaker cables fit perfectly, so perhaps it's worth a call, email, or PM to Dave at Greenhome Electronics who was very helpful to me when I wanted some bananas for my Black Mambas which were missing.

Here's some similar looking ones on eBay: LINK (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-X-PAIR-HQ-PRO-SPEAKER-CABLE-SPADES-CONNECTORS-GOLD-/160469754010?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item255cbe209a)

There's quite a good selection on eBay in general so there might be some even cheaper than those above: LINK (http://electronics.shop.ebay.co.uk/Home-Audio-/14969/i.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253 A1%257C72%253A4908&rt=nc&_nkw=spade&_dmpt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=15&_sc=1)

I hope that helps. :)

I have some of those here that our man can have for free if he wants them, but they won't fit because they have a different internal thread size

I think I got the wrong end of the stick. I thought Ross wanted to replace the whole connector, not just the screw on tip. Hmm, not many connectors have those screw on tips. You could try contacting usedhifishop.co.uk to see if their Sterling connectors have the same thread. If so they may sell you some tips.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Frank - thanks for saving me some cash there.

Safe to order these do you think?

Just the screw on tips, changing the connectors on these cables is something way out of my comfort/skill/gear zone :¬)

I hadn't noticed Frank had already mentioned the Sterling connectors. If they fit then I'd recommend them as I have some and I know they're very good quality. :)

:eyebrows:

Just to be sure before ordering four of them, these will screw onto the Belkin connectors without any mods?

Thanks again :¬)

Edit: Called Dave - very helpful guy. He had some spare Sterling spades to be posted this evening!

Great call, Frank, cheers.

If they are the official Belkin spade connectors then I confirm the answer is yes - just unscrew the bananas and screw on the spades - 30 second job:)

They should do with no problem at all. Same thread size and a metric pitch.

I still say you should contact Dave at Greenhome Electronics and I do know that they will fit your speaker cables no problem.

I agree, the Sterling spades look much better quality than those Nakamichi ones. I think the Sterling ones are made of copper too which is better than the brass that most spades are made of.

Martin - where did you buy yours?

Frank,

do you know if theres any screw in Z-Plug connectors that would fit the Sterling?
I find the screw in banana's are a bit loose in my Cambridge amp.

I emailed Dave at Greenhome a while ago, but didn't get any reply.
