View Full Version : Spotify on the iPod
In case anyone has missed it and you have an iPod and use Spotify, you can now use the Spotify program to manage your iPod. You no longer need to use iTunes to get music on your iPod. I'm amazed Apple allowed it to be honest, but for me it's great news, as I hate iTunes - really messes with a Windows PC. I used to jailbreak my iPod and used Rockbox on it, but now this is the best of both worlds. I'm always using Spotify and now I just plug in my iPod and sync my local mp3 library to it :)

It would be fantastic if Spotify Premium allowed you to download playlists onto your iPod. I'm guessing it won't though as there's no way of keeping track of your subscription...

No you can't unfortunately, you can only transfer music files you rip yourself or purchase through Spotify - you need an iPhone or similar wireless handset to be able to do that.

Just to clarify, it's fine with an iPod Touch or iPad on your home wifi - just click "available offline" under the playlist and it will sync, it is only a problem if you have a Classic or similar with no wireless.
