Ok guys I have been around for a while now so I thought I would post some pics of my system as it stands today.
First up is my turntable project which is a Lenco GL75 in a layered ply plinth.
I have fitted it with an Ittok/Troika from my LP12 and it is a revelation, easily matching the LP12 performance wise.
In fact I am going to sell the LP12 as I cannot justify spending anymore on it for the small gains to be had in performance.The Lenco cost me £30 for the donor machine and £40 for the materials.
Phono stage is a Naim Prefix screwed to the base of the plinth.

Next up is a collection of silver boxes not much to look at, on the left is a Chevron Audio Paradox preamp and next to that is a Chevron Audio Paradox dac.
On the bottom shelf is my latest addition the Trimodal power amp built by Chevron Audio from a Doug Self design.

Next up is my speakers, these are an old pair of Audionote Type J that have been re-veneered in a Zebrano finish by Russ Collingson.

Too right Tim, when I first played it I thought it was crap so I put it away for three months, then went back to it and after a couple of plays it was wow.
A definite slow grower.

I like the way that you've presented your Lenco.
What type of black paint did you use for the top-plate?
Masking off those edges accurately will have required a lot of care.

I haven't painted the top plate its as it came, must be the photo not showing it up to well.
It will be a job for the future as its easy enough to remove from the plinth but I am to busy enjoying how it sounds at the mo :)
From your signature I see you are a Lenco man.

In the photo, two thirds of the top-plate and the edges look black. It contrasts well with your plinth and arm. I've seen several L78 models with black factory finishes but not the L75. What was the donor unit?

I am indeed a Lenco man! I have three spinning at the moment. Must get some pictures up in the gallery soon...

The donor unit was something I picked up from fleabay, it came in a cheap chipboard plinth.
I see you have an upgraded main bearing did it improve the sq of the deck.

Jeremy's (Redbeard) bearing is all part of my stacked platter project.
