Hello all - I'm Jake from Stroud, Gloucestershire (waves and smiles).

I post a bit on Pfm and Wigwam but I've spent a lot of time reading the Caiman threads here recently (Murata issues - solved in part with the help of this very fora - thanks!) so I thought I best say hello.

An Audionote man at heart - I also have a penchant for headphones (hence the Caiman) and I have been known to get a bit animated about dacs once or twice in the past. Musically I listen to just about anything ... Tonights been a Joni Mitchell/James Blake/SBTRKT/Alison Krauss mash up and classical is making more sense the older I get. Don't understand opera though and I'm rather hoping I never do.

So hello everyone - I'm guessing I'll probably spot a few folk I know from other sites (evening Gaz, evening Jerry!)

Nice one, Jake

Hi Jake! :)

Well, well - one of my best Hifi Buddies has made it here at last!

Nice to see you here.

Yup, I think I've been helping a bit with that.
And I entirely (well, almost entirely) sympathise with the opera thing.
... Try Philip Glass's Akhnaten - you'll love it! ;)

Have you seen the brand noo Classical sub-Section in the music bit of the forum?
That was my suggestion!

Anyways - this is a fine forum, with a very different vibe to some other places. They actually expect you to be a bit polite and nice to each other here  ... yep, it took me a while to get the hang of it! :eyebrows:

Thanks for the kind words Jerry! Looking forward to a meet up in August - just pm'ed you actually. Dave, Marco, thanks for the warm welcome - were you responsible for the AoS system at Scalford Marco? Completely lovely ...

Hi Jake,

I was partly responsible (quite a lot of my kit was used), but it was a team effort putting it all together :)

Glad you enjoyed the system!

Marco.
