After quite a lot of fannying around and dithering l brought the Anchromat and a BREN1 record weight, and was really pleased with their performance and reasonable cost, however members on this forum kept posting pictures of their Techies with the Oyaide mat and weight, l am not paying the money for them l thought, then it hits you- l want both do not care if they are not better than the Anchromat/ BREN1 combo the Oyaide is audio porn, so in a weakened moment ordered the weight and mat, can l just say at this point l ordered from Mr David Brook from this parish, and what customer service l got! Ordred Thursday evening and got both Saturday morning, David was so helpful, l will be returning to him for other stuff, l cannot recommend him enough. So as l said they arrived in some wicked packaging, put the mat on first, with the BREN1 weight, and got across the board improvements, this mat is beautifully engineered and weighs a ton, it really is a good loking piece of kit, bass was quite a bit deeper and the music becamw for liquid, then l put the Oyaide weight on holy dooley- how can a mat and weight make this much difference? This is beginning to sound like my old Lyra Helikon/The Groove combo, everything was transformed, and l mean everything, a lot more bass, clarity, 3D soundstage, control, noise floor and a big clincher for me was tonal colouring dripping from my speakers....... l could go on, and all his from my Stanton 520! You have guessed it l am one happy camper, see ya l am off to play some more records:)

How was the SME V/ Denon DL103, l used to run an SME V/ Helikon, and that sounded awesome, but the Denon does seem interesting:)

With the 103r in the V a 3 to 5 gram headshell weight is needed for the cart to perform better. I have to say that for the money the 103r is a winner in the V (for me anyway) with very good detail and well-formed bass, although high frequencies can sound a tad soft. As usual much depends on recording quality of the LP. It also very important to have all your equipment isolated as much as possible. I use wooden cones under all my equipment (apart from the t/t) which has Isonoes and sorbothane boots.
