Interesting thread here on PFM. Check out John P's post #87:

It looks like, despite some earlier reservations, the Techy could be put into a nice Slatedeck plinth, or such like :)

I think Darren will be getting a phone call in the near future ;)

Good luck.

But!... I'm afraid you may be a little disappointed. As far as I'm aware Slatedeck currently don't do a plinth for the 1210 so Darren would possibly need a deck to work from. Trouble is though, Slatedeck don't appear to be taking new orders at the moment. :(

Mikey, it's on my 'things to do' list for early next year, so there's no rush. I've ran it past Darren before and he's up for it :)

Basically, I'll do whatever needs to be done then, whether that's buying a cheapo second-hand SL-1210 from Ebay to use as a 'donor' deck, which he can break if he likes, or whatever. Nowt will stop the Marco-boy from having his nice Welsh slate plinthy-poo! :gig:

Hope so! :goodluck:

Darren appears to a bit 'snowed under' at the moment, hopefully this is just temporary. There's a thread over on AT about it, look in the 'Slatedeck' section Err, as you would.....

My understanding is that Slatedeck have now started to trade normally again :)

That's what happens when you're a successful 'one-man band' building superb products. Being busy is good! And Darren deserves to be :)

Unless there have been some other problems I don't know about...

Hi Darren,

While you're at it, how about a plinth for a Denon DP-3000? :eyebrows:

Now you're bullying me !!!

I am very busy as you have correctly stated, but oh go on then, always up for a challenge.

TBH that looks on the surface like a simple enough exercise....!!

Or is it ?

No pressure matey. :)

I'll not have any 'disposable income' until early new year either... I'll be in touch!

I'd best let Marco have 'first dibs' any way, he'll only throw his teddy (or haggis/pasta) out of the cot otherwise! :ner:

Cheers...

No Probs, you know where to find me.......

BTW, it's about time we had a couple of new "blocks" on the catwalk..:smoking:

Shouldn't you finish all your other 'projects' first before embarking on another one - I mean, will all the 'outstanding' ones be finished in time for next year? :eyebrows:

;)

Oi!!!... kiss my ass!

My 'projects' are very happy thank you very much! :smoking:

LOL. Btw, I think Darren meant from his earlier comment another Slatedeck-plinth-ed deck to show off on the website or elsewhere :)

Marco.

Mike

Which comment was that?

Darren would be more than welcome to use pics of mine for the benefit of Slatedeck's website, or in any other way.

I'm thinking of saying something along the lines of "Here's £nnn, please make me the best plinth you can. Pretty plaese!"...

Do you have any firm ideas for your's?

Marco

LOL. You're being a bit 'dense' tonight! This comment:

He means what I've just explained above.

I don't have any specific plans yet, plinth-wise, but it'll be something a bit 'mad' - you know me
