We have blissfully obtained records of every single citizen who gave their records to the security-illiterate UK government for the 2011 census We're keeping them under lock and key though... so don't worry about your privacy (...until we finish re-formatting them for release)

So what? Even if true, I don't remember putting my bank details on there. Plus, the vast majority of the info they wanted was in the public domain to begin with which is why I wonder why they bother. How many illegal immigrants are going to fill it in? should thye not be able to calculate the number of people here from the register of births and deaths?

Why on earth they want to know peoples religion is also beyond me, and those who don't wish them to know would have lied / omitted anyway.

...that's my only worry Steve, if my atheism gets out into the public domain the Jehovah's Witnesses might stop coming round on Sunday mornings...a bit of JW baiting is fast becoming my new favourite sport :)

The religion question was optional anyway.

As you say they don't have your bank details - worst case you'll get a bit more junk mail.
