Just had a holiday on the west coast of Wales ... Took a lot of photos!

This place was just up the road from where we stayed ...

Hamish,
I think the first photo & especially the one with the logs are stunning. I may just have to get you to sort me out with a copy of that for framing.

Thank you!!! :) I was just saying to Hannah I'm so pleased with these I might frame them!
You would be very welcome to a copy Chris!
If you do want one, it will encourage me to get some done for my self too which would be nice as I hardly ever feel it worth while ... God knows why ...
Let me know and I'll get some quotes from the printers I use if you like? :)

That could be converted into a great listening room. ;)

It was certainly remote enough not to disterb any neighbours ... I think the closest permanently occupied house was about 2 miles away!

You would probably need a log fired amp though.

Yup, might want to get some solar panels up on the roof. Actually, might want to get a roof.

What a vacation that would be; a great system with a few crates of great music, some sustenance... ...and "civilization" quite a ways away. :)

Awesome pics, Hamish! West Wales is indeed rather remote and stunningly beautiful with it. In many ways, it is the land that time forgot. We love it out there.

Did you take any more pics? If so let's see them :)

Marco.

Here's how this comment eventually panned out.
Hamish & I exchanged several emails & phone calls and he had a fantastic high quality print done for me on beautiful paper.
Mrs Wazzles had it framed for me for Christmas.
I'm very happy indeed. Thanks so much Hamish -and may you get many more commissions matey ................but not of this picture, eh? - I'd like mine to stay an original!

Im not sure what that says about me as a photgrapher... or your taste? ;)

Im pleased you like it anyway, and its really nice to see it in a frame... and on someones wall!! makes me feel all warm inside :)

Just kidding matey! Flog 'em as fast as you can.
Lots of appreciative comments from visitors over the past few days, so it's not just you & I with the dodgy taste!

Hamish,

Is there a record or CD you have been searching for that if I could find it and send it to you you'd be willing to exchange for a copy of your pic sent to me here in the states?
Wales/West Ireland/England is #1 on my 'bucket list' and I'm determined to get there within a few years.

Best,
Barry

PS - Why #1?
landscape, castles
REAL ale
interactive hi-fi scene, vintage fi
family hx research (Berwick-Upon-Tweed)
Vaughan Williams
whisky
cheese
REAL ale
record shops
conversation
...and I want to see if they value teachers over there more than they do here at the moment

Portmerion.

I was a bit underwhelmed by it when I visited a good few years ago tbh. Nice area though, I like the beach at Black Rock Sands and some other nice places around there too. did you go on the steam railway? I thought that was brill.

I quite enjoyed it ... but i can see how to someone who wasnt intent on taking photos of everything it wouldnt be that great ... its pretty though... just would be better if there wasnt so many other tourists!

It has an interesting history. It is 'pretty' but not in the way I would like but the walks around the bay accessible from there are very nice. Of course, The Prisoner was famously shot there, and they have an annual get together for fans and a girl I know goes for that.

Sorry for the ramble Hamish. There's a lot I want to look into when I eventually get over there and these are just a few of what I admire.
