been lurking here for a while and thought it was about time i introduced myself. i have been interested in music and hi-fi for as long as i can remember and had built up a nice cd based system over the years.

i found this site after i had been looking to get back into vinyl and was given an old leak labelled goldring lenco. with the help of this, and a couple of other sites, i am now listening to my once neglected records in awe.

i fitted a jelco arm, added a grado prestige gold cartridge and experimented with a couple of different phono stages before settling on (for now) a lehmann black cube. vinyl once again rules :)

rest of my system is (and i see you all have yours permanently listed, how do you do that?)

a primare amp, a theta pearl transport feeding an old pink triangle da capo dac and monitor audio speakers.

music taste extremely varied from neil young, clapton and lots of 60's and 70's stuff to modern day indie rock with occasional funky jazz and 80's pop thrown in.

basically i love music, can listen to just about anything (within reason). :)

Hi Frank, welcome to AoS :) Take a look at this thread here fella (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2), it explains how to load decent sized images to this site ;) Of course it doesn't tell you how to load them to Imageshack or Photobucket :lol:

Not if there's some low rez digital A/D/A conversion right before the cutter head as per most vinyl mid 70s onwards!

Ha! I was tongue in cheek hence the ;) - but as I understand it digital cutting lathes were not commonplace until the early 'eighties by which time good music had pretty much gone down the pan anyway - IMO :lol:- plus I think digital lathes use 24 bit convertors not low rez.
