The makers no longer make the strands as the cost of the raw material has reached "silly" prices they tell me. So after having sold literally hundreds, this is my final one for sale. My own system however uses variants on these. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160603695689&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

Can I legitimately call this design a true classic, a world-beater and so on? Of course not.

Since the Mk1 version was released the competition has increased in both size and quantity. Thus this power cord design is now merely one of a group of good quality competitors. However where it did score very highly was the outstanding value. So much so that I had to give up taking various Nordost designs in p/ex.

Finally, I still after all this time, working through Mk1 to Mk9, have a lingering suspicion that it was/is the quality of construction of the IEC plug (and I’m NOT talking about size here) that progressively made the small but noticeable improvements. I base this on a series of tests using cut lengths of the cable from the same reel where the only variable was the type of construction of the IEC plug. And strangest of all to me, the most pleasing results rarely came from the most expensive IEC plugs. It was for me a mystery and remains so, for me to this day.
