I don't think you can really compare Hamilton's overtaking moves this weekend to those at Monaco. At Monaco a couple of his moves had almost no chance of success and ended up with him crashing out. This weekend the move that took him out was much closer to 50/50. He got better traction out of the preceding corner and tried to take the gap between Button and the wall. Unfortunately that move relied on Button seeing Hamilton coming in his mirrors which he didn't. That's the problem in my opinion. A 50/50 chance is more than high enough to take in F1 but when the other 50% relies on another driver doing something which they may not be able to do, then that to me makes the move too risky. Hamilton seems to take too many risks that rely on the driver in front seeing him coming and adjusting their line to make sure they don't turn into him. Unfortunately some of his recent moves have been so fast and unexpected that the driver in front wasn't able to react or on a couple of occasions the driver in front actually turned into the corner slightly earlier than the lap before which took Hamilton by surprise.

At the end of the day Hamilton is a racing driver and racing is about trying to overtake the person in front. Hamilton has recently just had a bit of bad look and a bit of bad judgement. Hopefully he'll get it sorted out ASAP so we can see him racing again rather than crashing. :doh:

He needs to cool down and mature a little as he's hugely talented, but seems a bit of a hot head since he came out from under his father's wing. I personally think he should move away from McLaren, been there far too long and needs a wake up call and fresh surroundings to help him focus again.

Once he grows up and gets that chip off his shoulder, he could potentially be another driving legend. He's got the talent, he just needs the mindset to go with it now, that's where true champions come from - the inner self.

Because, it may have only been a damaged hub, or just the tire. In which case it could have been repaired. It was only when the team told him to park it he stopped. Of course stopping there was sure to cause a safety car, and that did help Jenson. But thats just paranoia. best race I have seen, well deserved win by JB.

I think the move where Schumaker almost ran Barrachello into a wall was far worse.

Got to admit that Button was amazing though. Last place to first in 20 laps.:eek:
