So we've seen your top 5, your best Si Fi of all time, but what are the 5 worst films you have had the displeasure of
For me it's the following
The Human Centipede (give this a wide berth it's just plain sick)
The Black Swan (fell asleep it was so boring)
Bruno (Sasha Baron Cohen is funny as hell but this was painful to watch)
Easy Rider (WTF:scratch: a couple of junkies in real life made a film about junkies some great photography but c'mon boring)
Highlander 2 (why ohh why did they bother)
Thing Fish

And for me its...
Star wars (any).
Citizen cane.
Anything with Steven Segal in.
Space balls.
Beverly hills cop (all)
There are so many more...

Anything with Julie Andrews in it
All romantic comedys
Most early Disney cartoon films
Nearly every musical film  By that i means where the actors all burst into song :spew: With the exception of Paint Your Wagon & Cat Ballou :eyebrows:
Anything with Hugh Grant in it :donk:
There's so many.! I'll limit it to stuff I saw at the cinema when it came out:
'76 remake of King Kong (I thought it was worse than the original with worse effects and I was only seven)
Terminator 2 (Guessed how it would finish - couldn't wait for it to finish)
Predator 2 (low budget shows badly, terrible performance from Glover)
Little Shop of Horrors (nobody told me it was a fecking musical:steam:)
Freejack (Jaggers opening line got a big laugh - it wasn't meant to...)
Mike - don't know how you can say Easy Rider is one of the worst - I love that film - if you ain't seen it in ten years give it another go.

Tron...what was that all about.
Musicals.
Anything with animals in a major role.
Anything with Jim Carrey.
Anything with Ricky Gervais.
OK, not 5 specifics but you get the idea.
Highlander 2 (why ohh why did they bother)
totally agree ! was just soooo wrong !

Wow, what a moody bunch in here! :) Star wars? Tron? Easy Rider? Definitely don't deserve to be in the bin. Let me offer some better examples:
1) Ultraviolet - a plot as thin as the lead actress (Miss Jovovich)
2) Gothika - on TV recently, I switched over as soon as it turned out the lead investigator was the best friend of the victim, and his first question to Halle Berry was a whined, "Why'd you do it?"
3) The first two Chronicles of Narnia remakes (I haven't seen the third) - ouch! Why adapt these books if you're going to ignore the allegorical aspects?
4) Aladdin 4: Jafar May Need Glasses - I mean wut (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdxQLB7RjbI)?
Ok, really:
4) Shoot 'Em Up
5) Yeah, any film by Ricky Gervais. Gotta agree with that one.
Anything with Jim Carrey.
Mostly I'd agree, and he's not doing himself any favours with 'Mr Popper's Penguins' from the trailers I've seen.
But then there's The Truman Show, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and Man on the moon.. All *VERY* good films, especially the last 2.

The new Italian Job
The new Get Carter
National Treasure
All in my opinion are simply hollywood w*nk-offs.
oh and Beastmaster - if you can remember it.

ok the new get carter was crap, but the new italian job was ok, i mean it was nothing to do with the original, but as a stand alone movie it was ok and National Treasure was a good film, Beastmaster though was crap no question
- Pirates of the Caribbean III
- Armageddon
- 2012
- The Da Vinci Code
- Cemetery Junction
All of these shortened my life by a couple of hours. All expensive, toe-curling drivel.
Anything categorised as a 'romantic comedy'. The entire sorry genre is utter unmitigated pee-paw! Non-descript, cringe-inducing, braindead banality of the highest order :mental: :spew:
Oh, and anything foreign with subtitles, masquerading as being 'arty and intellectual'.

Mamma Mia? Surely the most absolutely ghastly film ever made! In fact, it's so bad that I feel tempted to swear, but I won't :)
Allow me then, David... It was worse than utter shite! ;)

I liked Tron.
Add teen 'slasher' movies to the list. <Groan>. If you've seen one, you've seen them all!

That and all of this 'Twighlight' vampire malarky.

Movie most full of fail...
Pearl Harbour.
What a complete load of tosh, utterly terrible. How on earth the people who made it could keep a straight face is beyond me.
Even team America thought it sucked...

Actually, that reminds me how good Team America was...[NSFW - yo have been warned!]

The Avengers with Sean Connery and Uma Therman. Dire!!:brickwall:
I forgot: Night and Day. It would be hard to imagine a bigger waste of two prime actors. Shocking dialogue, ridiculous storyline. Luckily I only wasted 20 minutes on it.

Last night i watched Battlefield LA , oh dear :eyebrows:
I went to see the new Planet of the Apes movie (Orange weds) John Lithgow was very good but the film is pretty poor .

The Patriot Mel Gibson , i loathe this film , utter drivel .
I went to see the new Planet of the Apes movie (Orange weds) John Lithgow was very good but the film is pretty poor .
The original was so good, that new one is a travesty.
All of the Harry Potter ...
These... ehmm... "films" make Transformers look like masterpieces... :steam:
I'm not sure, though, whether Twilight wasn't actually worse !
Can't agree with you there, Dimitri, I thought Transformers was the biggest pile of bilge I've seen in many years. In fact, the only film that was worse was Knight & Day.
Bubba Ho-Tep - funniest bit was the JFK guy
Jim Carey movie - any of them but especially the pet detective ones.
Adam Sandler - full stop.
E.T. just NO.
The Grinch - oh yes that comes under number 2
Most Chick Flicks - I liked Meet Joe Black and City of Angels, but don't tell anyone.
Lol, I actually quite enjoyed the Harry Potter films, but you wouldn't get me near a Transformers film...... funny how tastes differ ;)
I didn't say that I liked Transformers... ;)
In the Harry Potter films the main actors are truly awful. I'm sure it would have been better with some decent actors. :(
All of the Harry Potter ...
I haven't seen ONE Harry Potter film, and that state of affairs will remain!
Basically with films, for me, if it's not a good sci-fi/thriller, black comedy, good horror film, a western, gangster or war film, I'm not really interested.
Marco.
My last junk films:
Knowing,
The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Aagh, just thinking of the hours I won't get back..

Hollywood remakes of foreign films, I don't mind if the remake is better, but they hardly ever are.
Eg. The ring....... The original contained one of the scariest moments in film history......in the remake, that moment was actually funny, it was that badly done.
The grudge.
Dark water.
The eye.
Bangkok dangerous.
I'm sure I read there's a Hollywood remake of oldboy .......with Nicholas cage .......thats just wrong.
Girl with the dragon tattoo, is a new one
The only remake that I can think of, that was actually better was the departed.
The only remake I can think of that was superb (but different in feel from the original) was Solaris. Clooney gives it just the right quality and Natasha McElhone is gorgeous as the doomed wife.
I know what you mean about Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the Swedish production and Noomi Rapace got it just right, Hollywood will make a mess of it.
The only remake I can think of that was superb (but different in feel from the original) was Solaris.
Cape Fear remake was better than the original, although the original is still a good watch. I could make a case for Scarface too, although it's less clear-cut with that one.

A truly excellent film, i'm in agreement ;)
As for hollywood fcuk ups - The Ladykillers  In the bin you go...
The British original is a classic :lolsign:
True, both Solaris are excellent. :)
Funny People - Nothing funny about it!
The Hunger Games - Cack, cack, cack
Jack & Jill - Don't bother!
Knight & Day - Bought it believing the hype. In reality it was pooh!
Knowing - Utter tripe
Twilight - Wifey loves them but they are total crap IMHO
360 - Sooooooo boring!
The Hunger Games
I thought it was rather well done and quite effective, actually.
Knight & Day
Utter, utter, utter, utter, utter shitty shite.
Utter, utter, utter, utter, utter shitty shite.
Get the impression you are a fan of this film Martin
