For swap: near mint condition Garrard 401 for Technics SP.10 Mk.II or Mk.III (must be working and in good shape).

My 401 has been serviced by Vantage Audio & myself and runs very smoothly, and to speed. All original - no dubious or harmful 'upgrades'. On visual grounds I'd give this example a solid 9/10.

Comes with a lovely 50mm thick plywood plinth, made by the great Russ Collinson (www.layers-of-beauty.co.uk) & finished in a gorgeous cherry veneer. It's designed to either sit atop a Hi-Fi rack (in my case I use it on a wall mounted rack) or to stand alone on 4 suitable feet (skateboard wheels are meant to be very good here!).

Running it at the moment with a Jelco SA-750D tonearm (NOT included!) and it sounds absolutely fantastic! Very pacy with that typical Garrard bass and timing.

I've always fancied an SP-10, and after 15+ years of owning 401s and a 301 I'd like to finally 'scratch this itch' :lolsign:

Please PM me if interested. Due to the weight of these items I would greatly prefer a UK swapper only please.

Cheers,

- John

Would you be interested in a Technics SP-15 or a Technics SL-1210 MKII?

Wish I had a technics deck. I'd swap it for that lovely Garrard in a flash. It looks gorgeous.
