Some of you might not be aware of the bargains that can be had on eBay by specifying a specific country to search by – rather than specifying a region. In this instance, Germany.

On the face of it, specifying searches for Accuphase in 'The European Union' (option on the advanced search) would show up everything in the Germany listing. But it doesn’t.

Anyway, here is the link. Some of it seems rather good too.

Agree about the hifi on ebay.de being a great place to look but they know their stuff and prices can still be about average.

True. Very true. But I have picked up bargains by which I mean purchased Accuphase this way, used for a year or so and sold on for plus or minus 10% of the price I paid. Either way, a result!

Only bum deal I had was a Pioneer F-91 tuner; one of the best tuners made. Took a hit on it when there was a glut of them on UK ebay a year later. Wish I'd kept it.

Also, often find that sellers in the Fatherland don't list postage to outside Germany but if you ask they are quite often happy to send to blighty.

The very same goes for a lot of other ebay sites Howard. I learnt this years ago when hunting down some rather elusive CDs. I get the general impression that if they advertise their wares on ebay.com then an international search will pick it up. If they just advertise on ebay.de (or whatever) then you'll never see it unless you log into the relevant site ;)
