This is one of my favorite pieces of album artwork. I just love the feelings the picture conjures up.

Sadly good artwork is something you don't often get with Cd's and even when you do its to small to really appreciate. Well with my eyes anyway...:lol:

Its one of the many reasons I still favor vinyl.

I love that cover - first saw it in a record shop I was about 14 - didn't know Zappa and the Mothers from a hole in the ground - Just looked at it thinking 'What the f**k is this ?':lolsign:

The 'banned' original cover art from 'Appetite for Destruction'. In truly Tap-esq style some of the major retailers in the U.S refused to stock the album 'purely because of the cover'.

Sir Dennis Eton-Hogg (actually it might have been David Geffen) rolled over
and so the offensive artwork was consigned to the inner sleeve and a new cover hastily implemented.

Although it was mostly black, sadly it was not completely black, and the question 'how more black could it be' was not asked. At least not with any seriousness.
