Hello from Westchester

Hello everyone.

I am Mike from Westchester. My name is Mike. My hobbies are vinyl recordings, improving audio equipment (particularly my own), making cables for my system, and sports.

I've made cables for my speakers, interconnects, tonearm, and digital cables. Since doing this, my system sounds so much better. Before making my own, I was using Monster M series cables throughout the audio chain. The Monster M series (950i, 1000i, and M2.4s) were good performers. Now with my cable, my system is more airy, detailed, and smoother. A deffinite improvement over the commercial audio cabling I was using.

My audio equipment is the following:

I use pure copper wire in all my wiring for my solid state equipment. I have even used the same wiring to replace some of the wiring in my audio equipment. I purchase the parts and build the cables as I go along for each component I have connections to. All of my equipment (I have two systems) uses my exclusive wiring.

The results of the cable I use is nothing less than stunning. The quality of wire I use is truly high-end. I do not believe any type of commercial wiring would offer anything better than what I offer.

Also, this is not the type of cable that you would find in your audio store. Here in America - you would not find this type of wire, or even a high-end Monster Cable M Series at your Best Buy store - which is the big audio retailer here in America. With the lack of true high-end stores now-a-days, I am not even certian if you would find this level of wire in such a store. I order all my parts on-line.

I do this for hobby, not by trade, but I am entertaining the idea of building a web site to sell my items. I have pictures to show of the cabling I made if anyone is interested. If you were to ask how I would rate my wiring compared to other audio components, I think of the wiring on the same level one would put as a Mike New bearing for the Technics TTs (I have two of them!!!).

I also mod my own audio equipment, which includes the Technics SL-1200 Mark 2. I am very choosy on what parts to use and where I will perform the modification(s) in the components I modify.

I performed DIY audio kits and use my own parts in certian areas on a particular kit where I felt I would get better performance than what the vendor had offered with their kit (this kit is a high-end audio component I use in my system). The end result was spectacular.

Every component I upgraded has been for the better, with more detail and clarity compared to what I was getting before. The sound I now get compared to say 5 years ago on the same components I am using rivals or equals that of a high-end movie theatre.

As I stated before I build and use my own wiring on all of my components -
Interconnects
Digital Coax
Component Video
Tonearm Cable
Speaker Cable
Even Power Cables

All parts I use in my cabling are no-compromise parts which brings out the best sound possible coming from your audio equipment. So rest assured that if you were to purchase a cable from me, you would get a true - high-end cable that you would be proud to use in your system.

One thing I admit that with power cables, I am not certian if I can hear a difference comparing my power cables to a stock power cable. I take the same approach with power cables as I do with my ICs and speaker cables by using quality parts. I use my own power cables in all of my equipment whereever possible. My power amps do not have detachable power cables, so the stock cable is still in place.

With that being said, I am not going to pursuade you that power cables sound different until I am convinced that I can hear it in my system.

Never-the-less, I sleep better knowing that my power cable uses quality parts - my cable is much thicker than than the stock cable (and most other after-market power cables) and uses better parts - its conduction performance is better than the stock cable that came with your equipment. More conductivity to your equipment should translate to better sound. But I will state based on theory and experience with speaker wire that better conductivity in your connections - whether it is power or an IC, it should equate to better sound.

Hi Alex. Thanks for the welcome. I am a child of the 80s. This translates to pop music and lots of 12 Inch Vinyl. I enjoy reading your posts on here.
