Running a mains conditioner through a mains conditioner

I just read the review of the Isotek Super Titan in HFW. It mentions the possibility of running the Isotek Aquarius through the Titan. I wondered how this would improve things, any explanations would be nice. I also wondered if anyone had tried this and would like to comment on there experiences??

they had that combo at the bristol show and I was sat there with a friend called viv and another guy off another forum, and they say mains does not make much difference to the sound, it was a jaw dropper, the old titan was used first, sounded good, when the super titan and aquarius were used it sounded gobsmackingly good, the super titan connects to the wall socket and one socket is used for a power amp maybe with the aquarius powering other components, if you have £6k for the super titan and another 1k for the aquarius I would say there is no better solution if you want the ultimate mains feed to your gear, in context it's good value if your system is top notch.

would it be better wiring in a new ring main just for the hifi or would it be easier just to get the electric company to run solid sliver cable straight to the house from the national grid? :lol:

I have a seperate wired mains (including dedicated earth) to my rig. In my home my Balanced mains unit still makes a difference that I would consider to be essential in my set up; however I think the lengths I have gone to most people would not need too as I live close to a industrial area and the last house at the end of a closed road.

I have a seperate ring and earth for my listening room and I use a Isotek GII Nova so i would presume I have a reasonably clean current going to my kit I may be tempted to try and borrow an aquarius from the local hi-fi stockist to see if can improve things further but this is maybe one experiment that I may have to forget about :steam:

Even Keith himself would expect you to listen to it first at your local dealers. No one is going to sign a cheque for 6k without a demo or 2!

I thoroughly recommend the aquarious with schuko sockets on the back.

Listening to this at a local dealer would not be ideal, better in your home as mains very so much:)

I always had stuff delivered here that i was interested in & a good few days at the very least to evaluate it. If a dealer doesn't offer that then they aren't worth dealing with imho :eyebrows:

i dont intend using a super titan altough if I had 6k spare and the results proved favorably then I might buy one, but I would have to sell virtually all my spare hifi stuff to get one:rolleyes: I already have a GII Nova, the Aquarius is a more recent design which seems to have newer features than the GII. I wonder if this would impact on how the Aquarius works??? Perhaps I could do an experiment (cue evil doctors laugh :eyebrows::lol:), altough it would to be later on in the year when my bank balance has cleared as I now have a second all valve setup that I have bought :eek:

Nice review of cables in the latest edition of Stereophool talks about about value and megabuck gear. It's all relative, value that is. I could well imagine if you can stump up the green for, say, a £100K system, then another £7K is peanuts.
