Lol - indeed! Actually, I have a healthy respect for Michell T/Ts, and also the company itself. I consider them to be one of the UK hi-fi industry's best assets :)

Set up and general music interests below. Favourite bands -Floyd, Who, Steely Dan, Eagles. Female Vocal - Rickie Lee Jones, Janis Ian, joni Mitchell. Contemporary - Elbow, PJ Harvey, Fleet Foxes, Laura Marling. Just scratching the surface realy. Over 90% vinyl LP with CD for worthwhile not released on vinyl music.

Hi Paul, welcome from someone else not wedded to the direct drive camp ;) OK, so I do have a DD Techie, but IMHO, as always - one "technology" doesn't always win, it is the implementation that counts, and there are countless good examples of both belt and DD turntables. If you really want the best then you need an idler drive! ;) That said, there are few more beautiful looking TTs than a Gyrodec...

Your music choices will fit in very well here - but then we are a broad church - unless you like rap, (modern) R&B or Country & Western... I can find some merit in all of those - sometimes!

Anyway, hope you enjoy the forum. :)
