She is quite cute, and also pretty big. Probably the largest cat that we have ever had.

The once controversial author "Lobsang Rampa" wrote that if one needed to relax and calm ones-self, just imagine a cat stretched out either asleep or looking cute and having a 'nuggle. Works for me every time :) :peace:

Yes, too many cars though!!

That Mini is fairy sound underneath (believe it or not), it's a 1961, mechanically good with a 1275cc engine.

It's a Mk1 with Mk2 front grille and rear lights, uprated front brakes, engine from a Vanden Plas 1300, this is pretty much the same spec as the Mini Cooper S engine.

Another Mini of mine (1969 Mk2 Mini 1000) has a 998 Cooper engine, Hi Lo suspension and Spax adjustable shock absorbers.

Yet another Mini of mine is a 1969 Riley Elf Automatic, think it got only 18,000 miles on the clock, completely genuine.

I also remember the Wolseley Hornet - similar to the Elf in "three box" configuration - used to help out at a garage that looked after one in the late 80's for the archetypal "little old lady" who had owned it from new - grey in colour I seem to remember. My Dad had a green traveller in the early 70s, and I also helped restore a black 1275 GT, and always fancied a Mini, but it never happened. I have to say on the odd occasion I see an original Mini these days it scares the crap out of me how tiny they are - I really wouldn't want to be in one in a crash...

My Elf is a Mk3, so has the hydrolastic suspension.

The 1969 Mini 1000 with 998 Cooper engine is a Mk2, which originally had Hydrolastic suspension, I changed it to the dry suspension. Terrible job, virtually all the suspension parts are different.


This is pretty much identical to my one, same colour, condition.

Mine still has the original cross ply tyres on it and the correct Riley hubcaps, this one's are not the original.
