View Full Version : Given this – it's no wonder this industry repels more than it attracts

I think for most of us the costs of exotic cables is at best just regarded as silly money, at worse well..................

Madness :>

Then again, if you're a world class producer (or anything akin to that in the music industry), and balanced output is essential in the studio, then why not.

The cables are beyond madness in any shape, damaged or not. Stupidly silly money even if anyone CAN afford to line the pockets of some d*****s money grubbing con artist/artists.

Although I agree, it's madness, it's an entirely subjective (and relative) comment than one can apply to any priced cables, at any level.

Some people will look at those who spend £50 on a speaker cable and think the exact same thing. Others do the same for £250, others £500, others £5,000. The same applies to TV's, cars, houses, clothes and jewelry. Anything for that matter.

It all depends on your budget and your beliefs.

This is not pointing at anyone in particular, more so a generalised comment :¬)

Nobody except the likes of "us" would take any notice of these items in any event. How many of "us" are there in the UK? A VERY few dozen I suspect nowadays, maybe a hundred or two owners of "better than a typical cheapo Richer-Sounds system" type anyway. The days of a couple coming in for a well matched audio system are very few and those with money would almost certainly look straight at the rather good stuff B&O are now making I think.
