White Room

Moved from the turntable pics thread - here's my music room as of today. My modest system is a Technics TT partnered by a Dino+ phono stage and Myryad CD player and pre/power amps. AKG K-701 headphones and newly aquired Akai cassette player complete the picture.
I think it sounds great!

I'm keeping things as monochrome as I can with just the odd touch of colour from plants,record covers and lights. My missus approves as long as she can add a cushion or ten :)

My Monitor Audio speakers may get spray painted white but I'll probably experiment with stands and speakers off eBay.

Lovely looking room Simon, obviously i was thinking the very same when i saw the pics on the TT thread :lol: Nice kit as well, i thought i recognised some Myryad equipment ;)

I'd love to have a bright & airy room like yours but i just couldn't do it due to using a projector (sometimes) for film viewing. Everything would be 'lit up' by the light spill from the screen :doh:

Ah well, at least you are no doubt enjoying it & i can dream :eyebrows:

I've always had a bit of a "thing" for white rooms, very nice. Orange is also my favourite colour - my last "bachelor pad" featured a white room with orange accessories and one orange wall, and even my now wife liked it. :)

What model of MA are your speakers, Simon?

That is a VERY white room you have there, I imagine when the sun shines through the window its complete whiteout :), very clean looking though & really makes those speakers stand out.

Re the sax - I play a bit - enough to parp along to Cannonball Adderley and Lou Donaldson:lol:

The album covers have an orange theme at the mo - you can't see the others to the side. These include 'Low' and 'Love For Three Oranges'. My next display will probably be black and white covers.

The room is bright in the morning but it really comes alive at night with a nice bit of orange light.

The speakers are Montor Audio Bronze (I think :doh:) - it's been a while...

If I go down the stand mounted speaker route does can anybody recommend a pair. I'd go second hand off the net.

love the idea of changing, themed covers on display (thank goodness for LPs, huh ? ;)), and if you can 'parp' along with those guys, I'm guessing you're pretty good :)
