Hello from Northwest Analogue. We are based near Preston, Lancashire, but serve customers world wide.
Our services include-
Garrard servicing and refurbs, including complete overhaul and re-painting.
This service extends to other turntables, inc, Thorens, Lenco etc.
We also hand make some very fine pure silver cables, Slate plinth systems,
tonearm re-wires/repair and soon cartridge re-building.
We will also soon have a new unipivot 12" tonearm.
We also supply Audiomods tonearms in either standard form, or with bead blast finish and Northwest Analogue wiring.

I will post as often as I can and hope to give some good advice.
Even though I am in the trade, I will always offer free advice and I am always learning.
My specialities include Garrard 301/401, tonearm setup and cartridge rebuilding.

Hi John, thank you. Are those Hawthornes? Just piched up a pair myself of the dual 10" and plate amp. Incredible speakers.

Yes they the 15" I have a few suggestions to get them better if you want

Yes please. I have upgraded cross overs fitted at present but may build new baffles out of slate.

Wow the slate baffles might be very special I found that moving to 40mm MDF made a big difference so upgrading baffle would of been my first suggestion
A few tweaks around the tweeter
Get rid of the wire mesh inside
And I would open the back up and rid of the cap, you have to take everything apart but getting rid of the cap makes the tweeters dipole and adds to the fun.
