View Full Version : HI
i'm Simon
my kit is just a computer based headphone system, as follows
desktop pc > digi/coax > Meier Stagedac > chord chrimson ics > Graham Slee solo (originally srg, but now upgraded to ultra linear) > Denon ah-d7000.
my music interests vary, but mostly i listen to
Elvis, Bon jovi, U2, elo, rod stewart, niel diamond, rem, meatloaf, Elton john...
i could go on
i am the wrong side of 46, , a lift engineer and a liverpool fan.
anyway thats me, pretty boring i guess.
cheers;)
Welcome to AoS, Simon. Is headphone listening a preference for you, or can you not run speakers?
Hi Martin
i would love a nice speaker set-up, but the wife would fill my chest with kitchen knives while i am sleeping ;).
so until i can build a soundproof listening room, it is headphones for me.
to be fair i listen mainly late, so it would be unfair to use speakers.
i am, of course, open to improvement suggestions on my headphone kit.
cheers

Hello Simon.
I had one of those knife wielding wifey things once…………..the Hi Fi outlasted her although the decibel battle got pretty close at times ;)
Being here will only cost you money mate. Loadsa reasonably well off people ended up hanging around the forum because the Hi Fi salesmen heard they had a couple of quid and emptied the bank account and they cant afford real life any more

Welcome Simon
My wife tolerates me having speaker's , 3 sets in fact , its my taste in music she can't deal with :eyebrows: Van der Graff and King Crimson , oh and she's just invested in a top quality and extra large set of kitchen knives
