hello all, my name's Marc and I'm in south devon.
after getting through a bewildering array of low to mid value bits (mostly t/table orientated) over the past few years (all this in a bid to 'not spend too much:doh:), I've ended up on the 'lower' end of things I must admit:
JVC 71 / sme 3009 (not improved) with fluid damper (probably not a good thing with the apparently high compliance denon, but I've got it, so what the heck...) / denon 304 / trichord dino (slightly buggered: reaper shows it's MM output to be clipping, regardless of cartridge, at least through an EMU tracker pre; seems ok with MCs however...).
Hitachi HCA 7300 pre and HCM 8500 power, and tannoy DC2000s.
CD and tuner a nice little current Denon mini system (adjusted for 'european audiophile tastes', don't you know...).
quite a lot of other stuff in storage or away for repair, including a rogers valve pre and power which sounded great but really needs servicing for persistent use I suspect.
music wise, wide-ranging likes and interests with an emphasis on folk / folk-rock, jazz / fusion and .... prog (Yes, up to and including Tales, were just 'Wonderous' ;)).
all the best to the kindly gentlefolk of this forum.
