Is anyone here willing to post a 'wanted' ad on wigwam for me please? I've never posted on WW before and as a result I'm not sure I can't post in the classifieds section.

you need to have a certain amount of posts before you can put a for sale add on, something like 100 from what i can remember, if you get stuck i can help as i have dealer status on there

100 :eek: I'm just glad it's not the same for buyers or i'd have been stuffed :eyebrows: My one & only post was me purchasing an Oyaide IEE1394 firewire cable, once again thanks to technobear for pointing it out to me a good while back :)

You need to have 50+ posts which gives you the "experienced" status. This was introduced to stop people just joining to sell stuff in the classifieds & not really contributing to the rest of the forum!

There is a way around it though, but will cost you £5. Wigwam uses a subscription service to raise funds to pay for the running of the place. It's totally voluntary though & £5 pays for a years subscription & gives you "Super Wammer" status. Super Wammers don't need 50+ posts to start an ad in the classifieds.

A fiver's not alot to get your Ad to a bigger audience & probably quicker than trying to rack up 50+ posts! I guess it's up to you whether you think it's worth it, if it gets you a sale or helps you find what your looking for it doesn't seem much at all!

Thanks Alfie for clearing that up , i gave a donation myself last year to be able to post stuff for sale

I think it's a good system, as it's voluntary it gives people who use & enjoy the forum alot, a chance to help it keep running. There was alot of subscribers last year & the begining of this year to help with raising funds to make sure Scalford went ahead! This meant no trade money was needed & keeps the show independant!
