With new members reporting in from Sunny 'here' and Sunny 'there', well, we all know that aint going to last. In fact the great British weather is already getting it's own back for the brilliant April we had.

Yes indeed, but be very smug in the knowledge that Devon and Cornwall rain is WARMER

And Dorset - but wetter
Why do so many Brits complain about our weather so much? We live in one of the most temperate countries in the world with a relatively low cold-hot range. I can think of very few countries I'd rather live in, weather wise, and many that are far worse, and get far too hot.
Just setting some balance ;)

The esssence of being British.
Not necessarily a complaint....more of an observation, theres no real point in compalining, it wont make any difference.
We had a shower overnight, but that must be the first rain in about 5 or 6 weeks? I could happily live with it like this all summer, but I love the diversity of our weather in the UK - makes you do different things at different times of the year. I think my grass would like to see some rain though...

No fear of anyones grass not growing here, It's rained for the last three days at some point. It's as dreary as a bowl of porridge this morning :(

We have had our fair share of the sunshine here in the last couple of weeks. We have been to the beach with the kids a few times and I did get a bit of a tan though wasn't trying - I have fair skin and it isn't good for you!

If only it were 1968...
..... I wish
Why, was the summer of '68 especially hot? I guess that I was, wrapped up in my cot... ;)
I remember the summer of '76, though, when I was in Primary 7 - now that was hot!!
Marco.

 I know that, I was just thinking it would be nice to be 68' again. AHM and especially Fat Old Sun is some of my favourite Floyd. I saw DG do AHM at the Cadogan Hall a couple of years back - what a night that was :)
So I was with you Martin, just on a different plane :eyebrows:

68 i was still in my cot as well, 76 was the year we moved to Hove, spent all my life on a Farm up until then, bit of a culture shock moving to a town, oh well such was life then,
Sunshine and showers over the weekend, nice today, i've been working in good old Sunny Bognor today, i like the dry weather at the moment its good for getting on with my type of work, but the rain has been welcomed and very much needed, it must be raining over Brighton as i can see a rainbow over it just at this minute :)
