Hi all,
New to the world of 'real' HiFi, again after marriage, house purchase, kids etc...now trying to put together a decent sounding system. Just bought a pair of ProAC Tablettes Ref 8 Signature, small and beautiful, perfect for my room size, it is hooked up to an old A&R A60 amp. I am back to vinyl big time and have a Lenco GL75 ready for re-plinthing. CD wise, currently using the good old Sony DVD 7700 DVD player oldie but a good'un. Looking to upgrade the amp soon, would like to try valves, so if you guys are upgrading and have a decent powerful valve amp to sell , let me know, particularly a Prima Luna or Icon Audio. Cheers.

Hi John, welcome to AoS :) Very nice quality pair of small standmount speakers you have there, a damn good start if i do say so myself ;) Quite a nice sounding amplifier to from what i remember of it!

Looks like you are getting the valve bug :eyebrows: It's quite virulent from what i can gather

All the best & i hope you enjoy your stay

Hi John, welcome aboard. I too fear I may end up going the thermionic route at some point... Well, be rude not to, I guess! :)

What sort of music do you listen to on that nice system of yours? Maybe post some photos in the Gallery some time? We're very nosey here! ;)

Enjoy the forum! :)

Thanks guys, hoping to learn lots from you here, only started my journey to the AoS and building up my system in stages, yes I have caught the valve bug big time, intrigued by it's work of art design and tbh, never heard the valve sound, so not sure what to expect.

I am not that far from you (Halifax), you are welcome to come over and have a listen to some kit if you like. Not got much working at the moment, but the 211 SET does the valve thing well.

Welcome John..I use a SONY DVP-S725D DVD player awesome picture quality, 24/96 DAC but i don't use it as a CD player all the same, i was heartbroken when the DVD laser gave up a bit back but thankfully it all sorted again..
