Hi.
I would want to buy a lighter headshell than the stock one with the Jelco 750D, to use a Audio Technica AT-440ML.
What do you think of Yamamoto HS1A, HS2 and HS3 headshell? Do they have azimut adjustment?
The Sumiko HS-12 is a good headshell, relatively light but strong. It has azimuth adjustment via a hex key.

The Oyaide is far too expensive IMHO.

Interesting. Thanks!

Have you heard it? I thought the Oyaide mat was too expensive too, until I heard it.

Yes, the Sumiko headshell is made by Jelco.
Anyone tried one of these?

Yes, the Sumiko headshell is made by Jelco.
So is the HS-12 the same than the stock Jelco headshell?

Yes they are identical - apart from the finger lift, which in the Jelco's case is attached to the side of the headshell. The Sumiko finger lift is held in place on top, by the cartridge fixing bolts.
Some of the Audio Technica headshells can be adjusted for azimuth and they are far less expensive than the Oyaide and the Orsonic offerings. They are quite good in sound; of course it depends on the matching tonearm and cartridge, a hit and miss synergy issue.

I think so - I bought a Sumiko and it's exactly the same casting as the original Jelco and the new Jelco headshell I bought.
