A chance to own a legendary set of EAR 509 MkII Monoblock power amps. They are in quite excellent condition as well as being serviced only 2 months ago at EAR at St.Neots. The service cost £150 which included a set of 509 valves. This also brought the amps up to the most recent spec.
Tim de P. informed me that he reckoned the amps were very low hours for their year, probably only having been used for 3000 hours.
They come complete with EAR packaging and manuals. Also to be included in the sale are two sets of Tungsram 509 output valves.
I paid £2300 for the amps less than 5 months ago plus the cost of the service so I would be looking for £2450.
As these amps are very heavy the shipping would be around £90. Forgot to mention the sound - valves with no syrup! Bass to knock you over!
