Hi Chris and welcome to AoS.

Some stunning pictures on your website. :)

You've pretty much covered the system and music bases with your post, and looks like you joined up a while ago so you probably know what we're about - just leaves me to say have fun! :)

Walton is worth a visit from a scenic point of view - But no banks and very few worth while shops.

Tiss nice to have a bbq up the naze though

Welcome to AoS Chris.

Love your photographs, especially the following landscapes:

Colour - 05, 07, 24, 25 and 28

B&W - 02, 04, 06 and 07.

Are you a fan of the American photographer Minor White? Some of your more meditative zen-like B&W photos remind me of his work.

Anyway back to music - sounds like you have some interesting tastes there. Would you care to elaborate?

Enjoy the forum

Regards

A couple of the B&W ones reminded me of Ansel Adams - which I'm sure won't upset Chris! :)

Thanks guys for your kind comments !! Yes i have had a look at his and Burdney work amazing stuff. I always try to keep Ansel Adams in mind when going for a serious b&w, keeping him in mind and coming up with something remotely close to his work are different things.

Music wise I like most things really - I often find myself browsing HDtracks.com for 96/24 albums to run via PureMusic add-on for Itunes My fave at the mo is probably the -Koln Project Keith Jarret- -Allen toussaint The Bright Mississippi- -Eric Bibb booker's guitar- Tunng's latest album - Adele 21 - Sara K and alike.

Could do with some help though with turntable setup if anyone finds themselves in walton again soon :-)

Will go post a quick snap of me system
