Looks like the same binding posts that were on my old Yamaha AV amp.
There was a period where bananas were frowned upon from a health and safety point of view as you can push them into european mains sockets - so manufacturers were discouraged from fitting sockets to take them. However, what some did was fit binding posts with a hole too small to fit a 4mm banana, but if you open-up the holes in the plastic caps (4.5mm drill bit or similar) you will probably find a 4mm socket lurking inside.

Are they the screw-in type? If so, unscrew until you see the hole drilled through the threaded bar, and put the banana plug through that and tighten, so that the banana plugs are at right angles like spade connectors would be.

Or some of these
I tried pushing the banana plug in but to lose I tried tightening up and out as well but no change
It seems not to have electrical connection between the binding posts and amp feels like plastic so cannot use spade adaptor

I didn't mean the hole you'd normally use John, there should be another drilled sideways through the shaft of the threaded bar that the plastic screws on to.
ok i am going take the amp to see if i can find report back latter
yep thanks Ali can get it connected this way
