FS- pioneer PD8700

This is one of the famous [infamous ] stable platter cd players from the early 90's ...well recieved at the time. This example is in mint boxed condition though some of the polystyrene packing has vanished over time !

The cd player was tested and is in perfect working condition ...when hooked upto a system it gave a couple of modern marantz cdps [6001? and an other] heart failure. But a quad 99cdp2 showed it a clean pair of heels on all fronts.

This cd player is for sale at £45.00 ono plus postage

This is part of a cornucopia of hifi that a mate's uncle had collected over the last 40 years .....sadly he is terminally ill and is now in long term care. As such his house has been cleared and sold to cover the care costs.

Refreshing my system a bit. What I have needs servicing, I think. But, I have the urge to replace bits of my main system with the least amount of hassle. And I'm a sucker for the stable platter. I do love it so.

All I need now is to replace my speakers (and then think about how I'm going to get my Quad amp and pre-amp, and existing Pioneer cdp serviced and back to good health). I feel a trip to Richer Sounds coming on for some speakers!
