Might be coincidence or might be connected to the fact that the previous UK importer appears not to be representing them anymore. As for me, I'm relieved that years back I declined the agency.

Incidentally, the ML6a mono pre-amps I used in the late 1970s came closer to conveying the visceral thrill of a live performance, be it orchestral, solo acoustic or rock than any preamp I have ever heard anywhere at any price and at any time. For me, the absolute pinnacle of SS preamp design.

The Rappaport pre could muster a decent noise too as I recall :eyebrows:

Rappaport? Ah yes. Yes – apparently. Never got to hear one with other gear I knew. However did hear it driving a US valve power amp (Futtermans I think) into Dahlquist DQ10s and realised that this precise combination was more musically credible than anything I stocked at that time. I was there incidentally to supply a new Michell Marble Electironic ref deck with SME 3009/2 and if I recall correctly a Sonus Blue. Ah happy days indeed. Meanwhile, thank you for the memory prompt.
