Shelter 501, low mileage, I would estimate between 200 and 300 hours.

The 501 originally sold as the Crown Jewel costing £1600 new, but was rebranded the 501 to sit underneath the 901. Shelter was founded by ex-Supex employees after it went bust and to me (a former serial Supex 900 user) it has that wonderful silky but punchy quality to it that the Supexes hada

Another Supex alumnus of course was Sugano, founder of Koetsu and in fact, I sold my Koetsu Rosewood and bought this - it gave little if anything away and indeed the character is very similar.

Looking for £350, including postage, for this one.

If I hadn't bought the Dynavector 20X2L I would have snapped this up. Isn't your price in post #3 the same as in post #1?

Yes I editied the first post to reflect the new price.

 So now you have just knocked off the postage as that's now free but done away with the offer bit...

Mmmmm

Somehow it does look the same as Martin pointed out ;)

I'll leave it there, good luck with the sale as it sounds like it's worth the money.

Behave guys! It seems to me Tom's knocked £25 off his price & thrown in P&P aswell, a nice reduction IMO on what is already a bargain price for a very light use cart! An offer can always be made, but it's the sellers prerogative to refuse if it's not acceptable.

The Shelter 501 is a stunning cart & would be mine if I had the spare cash atm!

I've bought a cartridge from Tom before & it was in as advertised condition i.e. almost new! Tom was a gent to deal with too so someone snap up a bargain.

Hi Guys,

This is a great cartridge, love the sound that mine makes and would snap this one as well if I had the funds available.

No slur intended, Tom, I just couldn't see what the price drop was. I notice from the box that it's actually a Mk.II? Could you confirm?

Sorry, yes it's a Mk II. Should have put that in really!

I think that in some ways, Martin, it could be better than your DV20X2L... ;)

Well I know what Tom's bought but will leave him to tell you!

I quite fancied the 501 but bad timing for me as the HiFi fund is low!
I would fancy it's chances over the DV20 but if you don't get on with it I would take it off your hands after I've been paid, I doubt it will be back up for sale though.

Good move I think Martin :)
