Hello from Yorkshire

Hello all at Art of sound. I have browsed this site for some time now and have found it very useful. In particular with the upgrades to the Beresford Caiman. I find this site very useful and the insight and knowledge shown by others has been a great help.
My current set up is the modified Caiman with Gator mod, custom made Tripath amp ( 41hz amp7) which unusually has 300watts per channel but keeps the Tripath qualities, Squeezebox touch and a pair of slightly modded TDL RTL 3's. notice the equipment bias to some of your larger threads.
what I hope to get out of this is twofold. add my comments to threads if I have any knowledge to share and ask some of the experts for advice when needed. I really enjoy the idea of DIY audiophile equipment and tweaking Ebay bargains to make them sound special. although both my technical and DIY skills are not that great.

It's always nice to have long term users of the site stepping out of the shadows. Your equipment list reads like one of a true AoS'er, so you should fit in fine! What type of music do you prefer to listen to?

A little update
My real name is Dave and i am from a large town in South Yorkshire called Doncaster.
I don't have a particular Genre of music that I like best but I do sway towards rock ballads and guitar led music, nothing to heavy. I also like vocal led music, Recenty my 2 most listened to albums are Adele 21 and Richard Ashcroft, united nations of sound.
I enjoy the classic British rock as well as contemporary.
it would be easier to describe what i don't like. house,hip hop, Rap, fusion Etc. having said that there are some exceptions here too, Eminem and Prodogy being 2 that stand out.

Yeah, it's funny that a little town like that should be signposted from right inside Sheffield city centre. I always wondered why that might be.

Bawtry is a historical town. apparently a 17th century port. some grand old buildings along the main road.
