Hi guys i'm looking to buy a Nagaoka MP11 and I found this online shop that stocked em new and at a good price ,http://www.lpgear.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LG&Product_Code=NAGAOKAMP011&Category_Code=NAGAOKACART , my question is has anyone heard of them? and if so what are they like to deal with, the only thing that puts me off is that they are in the U.S. so if i have any trouble there's not much i can do.

The world is such a small place now for buying, just do it as Nike say! I buy from Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, USA, Jakarta, never had a problem ever. As long as you pay with paypal or credit card you are protected, credit card is better. Why the MP11 anyway?

I've bought from LP Gear before. No problem... :)

LP Gear are top-notch. You've got no worries, Mike - so order away, dude! :)

I bought a Hyper-Eliptical stylus for my old AT95 cart from LP Gear, service was excellent, delivery was quick and the stylus lifted the humble AT95 into a different league...

I've bought several bits from US suppliers with no trouble except a £25 stylus I ordered a month ago and forgot about has just arrived at the post office with a £12.42 customs/handling charge, which makes it a bit uncompetitive. A risk you take in the international market unfortunately.

For around fifty notes (if you don't get stung), an original MP11 should be fine as anything "better" will cost a load more. Before you jump in, have a look on the Musonic site to see if they have anything.

I recently bought a TT belt from them for less than half the price in R.O. Britain, no surcharges too!

Thanks very much guys

Why the MP11 anyway?

The MP11 seemed to be the one to go for, it was either that or an AT120, the MP11 won it on price though.

To be honnest i was looking at 2 second hand MP11 Borons on ebay and was willing to pay the same for either of them, however one just sold for more than i could get a new MP11 for, and then i have to take the sellers word for how much use the stylus has had. If replacement Boron styli were still available i might have gone that little bit extra.

I've purchased from LPGear in the past with no problems, however...there was a recent thread on Audioasylum where a few members were expressing concern regarding poor or non-existent communication.
